Reinforcement Learning in Operations Research
Production schedules have to be decided in seconds, yet the underlying problems are hard. We train reinforcement learning policies that solve new instances instantly, combine them with classical optimization, and build in the domain knowledge that makes their decisions acceptable in practice.
-
Text Analytics for Decision Support
Decision-relevant information is often written, not tabulated: corporate disclosures, financial news, customer reviews, business documents. We develop methods that turn such text into reliable signals, and we study how language shapes the judgments that people and markets arrive at.
-
Human Behavior in the Use of Information Technology
Whether information technology is adopted and used well is decided by people, not by systems. With measures of cognitive and affective processes, we make visible how users process information online and derive usefule design implications.
